“God is with those who are crying”: Thoughts from a United Methodist pastor in Ukraine Rev. Fred Vanderwerf, currently a district superintendent in the Minnesota Conference, spent eight years as a missionary in Ukraine with his wife, Stacy. Drawing on that background, Vanderwerf has done a video with the Rev. Volodymyr Prokip, a United Methodist pastor in Lviv, a city in western Ukraine. Rev. Prokip shares about his ministry to fellow Ukrainians who have been fleeing the country since Russia began its invasion. Although the video was made early in the war, Rev. Prokip provides wonderful insights into how Methodists in Ukraine are responding to the war. Click here for this 22-minute interview.
